Boiler Service, Repair and Installation in Delta, Surrey, Richmond, and White Rock

Boilers are an energy-efficient and cost-saving way to heat your home. Modern boilers are more compact and efficient than older boilers – offering up to 98.5 % efficiency, as well as an alternative to forced air heating systems for allergy sufferers. Your boiler is a piece of equipment, but the piping connected to it is a system that is unique to your home. When you have your boiler system serviced, repaired, or installed, it pays to work with an experienced company like Acorn. We listen carefully to your needs, and repair, adapt, or design a system that will work with the existing piping in your home.

Our boiler rooms are works of art

It might sound odd, but our boiler installations are a source of pride at Acorn. As you can see from the before and after pictures in our gallery, we spend time ensuring that our installations look amazing and work even better! Boiler systems can be complicated, and not every company does them well. You might not think of your boiler system as pretty, but our installers consider them a work of art!

Whenever we install a new unit, we do it our best to make the most efficient use of your space and to make the system look as organized and clean as possible. Our technicians can upgrade and simplify any system to allow for easy access and convenient servicing – ask us how.

Make an informed decision with options and upfront estimates

Once we assess your problem or project, we’ll provide you with a range of solutions that fit your needs and budget, and an estimate of the cost to do the work. We won’t try to “sell” you on a solution, we’ll educate you about your options and work with you to make an informed decision about your heating system. Our estimates are upfront and transparent, with no hidden costs.

Trust us to keep your boiler running at peak efficiency

Thinking about a new boiler?

If your boiler isn’t running as well as it used to, it may be time to replace it. Although a new boiler can be an expensive investment up front, it will save you money on your utility bill down the road, and make your home more comfortable. Here are some factors to consider:

Energy efficiency: If you have an older boiler, it may be running at 65% efficiency or less, which means that only 65% of the heat it produces is being transferred to the water that heats your home – that’s a significant amount of money to lose up the chimney! With a new boiler operating at 80% to 98.5% efficiency, you’ll see immediate savings on your energy bill.

Modulation: most new, high-efficiency boilers can match their heat output to your home’s needs by running at a consistent, low level. Older boilers only run at full capacity, so even if it’s a mild BC day, or you’re only heating one area of your home, the system will constantly turn off and on to provide surges of heat. With a new boiler, you get constant, even heat throughout your home, quieter operation, and energy savings.

Steel vs. corrosion-resistant heat exchangers: If your old boiler has a steel heat exchanger, it will eventually be rusted away by the water in the system. New, stainless steel heat exchangers last much longer.

Once you’ve chosen a new boiler, we can help you decide on any additional features, such as an indirect water heater that provides abundant hot water at a low operating cost, or outdoor reset controls that help you save energy and money.

IBC boilers: high-performance that’s built to last

Although we can install all major makes and models of boilers, our boiler brand of choice is IBC. These units rate highly for durability, energy-efficiency, and performance. Simply put: if the product isn’t reliable, we won’t sell it.

IBC wall-mounted condensing boilers convert natural gas into heat with unprecedented efficiency, making them one of the most energy-smart heating systems available today. The award-winning boilers are made with a stainless steel heat exchanger for durability, and can be vented with PVC pipe for quicker, less expensive installation.  The units have onboard switching for up to four pumps and/or zone valves. IBC is manufactured right here in the Lower Mainland – we love to support local! Visit IBC’s website.

Boiler Service, Repair, And Installation FAQs

How often should I service my boiler?
Most boilers should be serviced once a year. A yearly service helps keep your boiler safe, efficient, and ready for the colder months. It can also help catch small issues before they turn into expensive repairs. Acorn Service Group provides boiler service in Tsawwassen, Ladner, North Delta, Richmond, White Rock, Surrey, and the surrounding area.
What are signs my boiler needs repair?
Your boiler may need repair if it is making strange noises, leaking water, losing pressure, not heating evenly, or showing an error code. You may also notice higher energy bills or rooms that do not warm up like they should. If something seems off, it is best to book a boiler inspection before the issue gets worse.
What type of boiler is right for my home?
The right boiler depends on your home size, hot water needs, existing heating system, and budget. Some homes need a simple replacement, while others may benefit from a more efficient system upgrade. Acorn Service Group can review your current setup, explain your options, and help you choose a boiler that fits your home and comfort needs.
How long does a boiler usually last?
Most gas boilers last about 10 to 15 years, with many homeowners starting to plan for replacement around the 10-12 year mark. Some older boilers may last longer, but they may not run as efficiently as a newer system. Regular service can help keep your boiler safe, reliable, and running well for as long as possible.
Should I repair or replace my boiler?
If your boiler is newer and the repair is simple, a repair may be the best choice. If your boiler is over 15 years old, breaks down often, needs expensive parts, or costs more to run each winter, replacement may be the smarter long term choice. Acorn Service Group can inspect your boiler and give you honest advice with clear, upfront options.
